Ward briefing packs
A short, ward-bound set of maps and tables for members who are asked, in the supermarket queue, why their streets look busier on the request list than the next ward.
Who it is for
Member support teams and democratic services preparing for ward walkabouts, annual meetings, or a burst of identical casework.
What you hold at the end
A ten-page pack per ward: request mix, seasonality, a short list of streets that dominate the queue, and notes on what the figures cannot show (hidden households, dual-coded jobs).
Scope
A named set of wards in one authority, using the same twelve-month window for each so members can compare.
Included
- One pack per ward in the commission
- A covering note for the group leader or chair
- Print files and a plain-text table for your own reprints
Not included
- Door-knocking or resident surveys
- Party-political design or colours associated with a group
Who does the work
Owen Pritchard leads mapping. Miriam Hale writes the covering notes.
How the weeks run
- Agree ward list and extract.
- Draft two sample wards for officer check.
- Produce the remaining packs in one batch.
Time
Three to five weeks depending on the number of wards.
Place
Prepared in Saltcotes. A short briefing for members can be added on your site.
What you prepare
Confirm ward boundaries in force for the period (boundary reviews catch people out).
Limits we will not blur
Packs are for internal member use unless your communications team clears publication. We will not brand them for an election period.
Fees
From £380 + VAT per ward after the first two sample wards (quoted as a pair). A full-council set is priced as a batch.
Next step
Send the ward list and whether an election period falls inside the window.
